Panteion, via the Laboratory of Urban Criminology (EASTE), conducted a diagnostic research on victimization and safety in the 2nd and 5th Municipal Departments of Piraeus in order to achieve a complete picture of the criminality as well as the dimensions and factors related to the citizens’ fear of crime and insecurity.

It challenges the image of a city as a stage for positive interaction, rather depicting it as chaotic and dangerous. How can cities respond to this seemingly prevalent malaise?
